Paz além das circunstâncias…

Várias coisas me trazem a sensação de paz: Silêncio, a satisfação do dever cumprido, músicas relaxantes ou inspiradoras, a natureza, comtemplar as ondas quebrando na praia num fim de tarde, estar cercada de pessoas queridas.

Mas, se for pra falar de paz verdadeira, independente das circunstâncias, só existe uma resposta: Cristo. Ele é a paz que excede todo entendimento.

Quando temos a Presença de Jesus nas nossas vidas, não dependemos de circunstancias favoráveis para estarmos em paz, basta nos lembrarmos e nos agarrarmos a simples verdade de que Jesus reina, Ele está no controle de todas as coisas. Se você entregou a sua vida a Ele, pode ter a segurança de que, além de estar no controle, ele trabalha para o seu bem, sempre.

Quantas vezes nos encontramos em situações difíceis e desanimadoras? O que podemos fazer pra encontrar essa paz?

A oração é um caminho que nos leva a esse estado de espírito. Mesmo em situações turbulentas, podemos confiar que Aquele que nos escuta e colhe as nossas lágrimas não ficará indiferente à nossa súplica.

Confiar que Deus é conosco, que Ele se preocupa e anseia por um relacionamento diário com Seus filhos. Isso nos traz segurança

Por outro lado, se você não tem Cristo, pode procurar a paz em vários lugares, infelizmente, o máximo que encontrará é uma sensação passageira. A boa notícia, entretanto, é que Ele está disponível pra você hoje. Basta querer.

“Deixo-vos a paz, a minha paz vos dou. Não vo-la dou como o mundo a dá. Não se turbe o vosso coração, nem tenhais medo.” João 14:27

What brings me peace?!

Several things bring me a sense of peace: Silence, the satisfaction of a fulfilled duty, some relaxing or inspiring music, nature, watching the waves crash on the beach in the late afternoon, being surrounded by loved ones.

But if we are talking about true peace, regardless of the circumstances, there is only one answer: Christ. He is the peace that surpasses all understanding.

When we have the Presence of Jesus in our lives, we do not depend on favorable circumstances to be at peace, we just need to remember and hold on to the simple truth: Jesus reigns, He is in control of all things. If you have given your life to Him, you can be sure of that, in addition to being in control, He is also working for your good, always.

How many times do we find ourselves in difficult and discouraging situations? What can we do to find this peace?

Prayer is a path that leads us to this state of mind. Even in turbulent situations, we can trust that the One who listens to us and collects our tears will not be indifferent to our plea.

Trusting that God is with us, that He cares and longs for a daily relationship with His children. This brings us security.

On the other hand, if you do not have Christ in your heart, you can look for peace in many places, unfortunately, the most you will find is a momentary sensation, a fading state of mind. The good news, however, is that He is available to you today. You just have to want and ask for Him.

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27
