Hello dear reader!
A great time of the year has come! I don’t know about you, but I love Christmas time!
I love the lights, the feelings this season evokes, I love the food and the fact that we get together with those we love, to celebrate. To celebrate what, exactly?!
In this time and place in history, we get to the point where people get offended when someone says “Merry Christmas”, depending where you are, of course.
Why? Because people have forgotten that Christmas is all about a specific celebration, the birth of the most important person that has ever walked on earth, Christ Jesus!
As someone said, we can’t celebrate someone’s birthday party, eat, drink and have a good time while we just ignore his/her presence, that would be rude! It is the same thing when we celebrate Christmas without recognizing the importance of Jesus.
It does not matter if you are Christian or not, that does not change the historical fact that Jesus was a real person that existed, he was born, grew up, lived and walked among people and, ultimately, died on a cross!
It is your choice to believe if He is actually the son of God, the Lord and Savior that the bible says He is. However, you can’t deny history, you can’t deny that Jesus was a historical figure that changed the world forever. The prove is that we are in the year 2025 AD( After Christ or Anno Domini).
Jesus was and is the man who changed our lives forever. However, it is our choice to embrace this truth or not!
This post is to help you to remember that Christmas means Good News, the birth of God in flesh, who came to reconnect mankind with God the Father, and to teach us how to live according to our original design. It is about HOPE and FREEDOM, not religion rules.
Jesus came to show us the way batck to the Father, back to the connection that gives us meaning and a purpose to live! So, don’t be embaraced to say “Merry Christmas”, because the meaning is beautiful, real and brings hope!
Enjoy this time with the people you love and remember: God made you with a purpose and He gave his son for your life, because He loves you very much!
Merry Christmas, everyone!
“About that time Caesar Augustus ordered a census to be taken throughout the Empire. This was the first census when Quirinius was governor of Syria. Everyone had to travel to his own ancestral hometown to be accounted for. So Joseph went from the Galilean town of Nazareth up to Bethlehem in Judah, David’s town, for the census. As a descendant of David, he had to go there. He went with Mary, his fiancée, who was pregnant.
While they were there, the time came for her to give birth. She gave birth to a son, her firstborn. She wrapped him in a blanket and laid him in a manger, because there was no room in the hostel.
There were shepherds camping in the neighborhood. They had set night watches over their sheep. Suddenly, God’s angel stood among them and God’s glory blazed around them. They were terrified. The angel said, “Don’t be afraid. I’m here to announce a great and joyful event that is meant for everybody, worldwide: A Savior has just been born in David’s town, a Savior who is Messiah and Master. This is what you’re to look for: a baby wrapped in a blanket and lying in a manger.”
At once the angel was joined by a huge angelic choir singing God’s praises:
Glory to God in the heavenly heights,
Peace to all men and women on earth who please him.” Luke 2 :1-14
